Khayyam system is an international journals ranking system developed by Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran. Khayyam is the title of a web-based system which enjoys a number of special features. The system will be created based on the description in this document (which explains the basic requirements for implementing and launching the system). Khayyam's main feature is displaying the ranking information of international journals to the general public visiting the website; the access to the website is not limited to its users and members. Those visiting the Khayyam system from around the world (no special user information or membership required) can see the latest changes made by Shahid Beheshti University’s selected jury to the ranking of electronic scholarly journals and publications. In this system, the journals are ranked and prioritized according to the opinions of the specialists in the fields so that the subject area of each journal is determined and journals are differentiated from each other more accurately.
